STAR Program Teacher at Delaware High School 

Stephen V. Caswell is a Laurel, Delaware-based special education teacher and high school athletics coach with more than two decades of experience. He has taught for Capital School District since 2013, leading its Students Transitioning towards Adult Readiness program. He utilizes various instructional media and techniques to help students meet their goals. Stephen V. Caswell also regularly diagnoses student learning disabilities.

Stephen V. Caswell previously taught at Elanor Roosevelt High School in Maryland. He spent 4 years at the school and managed a 22-student caseload in addition to co-teaching subjects such as English, history, and government. He has additional special education teaching experience at King George County Public Schools and Copenhagen School District in Virginia and New York, respectively. He also spent a year as coordinator of student recruitment at the Academy of Loss Prevention & Private Investigation.

In addition to his classroom experience, Mr. Caswell has taught varsity and junior varsity ice hockey, soccer, football, and lacrosse teams. He holds membership with the National Education Association and earned master's degrees in educational leadership and administration from Wilmington College and reading from Canisius College. He also earned a bachelor's degree in exceptional education from Buffalo State College.
