Texas Chemical Company Leader

Stoney Barton of Austin, Texas, founded FSTI, Inc., in 1998 and continues to manage operations at the chemical distributor and specialty chemical blending company as chief executive officer. Under his guidance, FSTI has experienced either volume or revenue growth every year since the company’s inception, passing $40 million in annual revenue in 2012. Stoney Barton has also supported FSTI expansion efforts, with 16 locations throughout Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Colorado. In 2007, while continuing to lead activities at FSTI, he founded S Logistics, Inc., a logistics company that handles all shipping matters for FSTI.

In addition to his leadership responsibilities with FSTI and the related chemical companies S Logistics and Texas Chlor-Alkali, Inc., he has established businesses such as Colorado Salt Products, Inc., and Blue Whale Pool Care, Inc.

Mr. Barton studied chemistry, with a minor in mathematics, at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a bachelor of arts in 1997. He received the American Chemical Society Scholarship Award during his time at the school and volunteered with the university’s U Teach philanthropic program.
