Having been a writer with a flair for storytelling since childhood, and a diverse background in multiple fields, I have assisted various entities over the years in finding their voice while delivering content that is engaging, informative and substantive via community management initiatives and a love of interacting with people.

Experience

Assistant Manager - Content and Community Management, TGV Cinemas (November 2016 - Present)

My duties center around engaging our community of followers & bringing them closer to our trademark cinema experience through continuous online engagement, be it through content, contests or conversations.

Apart from hosting TGV Cinemas' Facebook & Instagram Livestreams, I also manage scheduling, copywriting and content creation across both video and static imagery mediums. The creative team, consisting of two graphic designers / videographers and two animators / multimedia creatives, fall under my purview. We function as a brand guardians in terms of look, feel & execution. I am also heavily involved in UI/UX design via content and copywriting across the website and app.

Social Media Content Specialist, GEMFIVE Malaysia (November 2015 - November 2016)

My responsibilities included crafting and structuring social media posts, schedules and campaigns; Increasing follower engagement and interaction; Manifesting brand values in communications with customers through judicious and appropriate choice of language in social media posts; Being the custodian for the brand personality in all communications.

Web Editor - FHM Malaysia, Astro Digital Publications (April 2014 - October 2015)

I was in charge of social media content curation and creation for FHM Malaysia through its online platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. I assisted in conceptualisation and production of videos, managed social media feeds and strategised media sharing for said social media channels.

I also managed and produced original content for FHM.com.my on a daily basis, as well as targeting audience growth through the increase of content variety and quality on the website. On a monthly basis I also produced content for the print edition of FHM Malaysia, mostly regarding to post event coverage and an occasional feature article.

Writer & Game Designer, Infinity Game Studio (January 2013 – Mar 2014)

I created content and story-based scenarios for the involvement of players within the game environment. I also assist in creating game mechanics with additional work on designing and creating an intuitive user interface for a streamlined playing experience.

I was heavily involved in world-building, with a lot of effort centered around creating believable fictitious cultures that are both interesting and in-depth. I was also involved in level & map design, art & sound direction and team management.

Content Creation

From conceptualisation to execution, I have experience in creating content across multiple platforms, but chiefly Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

Speaking to followers is important, either via face-to-face interactions at on-ground events or via Facebook Live and comment replies.

I live and breath the internet - making sure that I never miss out on the latest news or trending topics; especially when gaming, entertainment or technology-related.

Gaming

I consider myself a hardcore gamer, from FPS'es to RPG's with sports and strategy thrown in too.

Copywriting

Wordsmithing is a wonderful way of connecting with people, as well as making sure that brand values are always put across.
