Taunia Markvicka

Corporate Strategist in Pharmaceutical Sector

As chief commercial officer at Symbiomix Therapeutics, Taunia Markvicka draws upon more than 20 years of diverse pharmaceutical experience to lead the company's commercialization efforts for women's health products. Prior to joining Symbiomix in 2016, Taunia Markvicka accrued extensive experience through executive roles with Cormedix and Pacira Pharmaceuticals.

While working as the senior vice president and chief commercial officer of Pacira, Dr. Markvicka managed a budget of $80 million and exceeded commercial benchmark launches for products including Ofirmev, Cubicin, and Angiomax. She also served as a partner at Stack Pharmaceuticals, where she provided consulting services for emerging clients and led pre-launch activities.

Dr. Markvicka previously held executive roles at Advantage Healthcare, The Medicines Company, and Watson Pharmaceuticals. She completed a pharmaceutical-focused MBA program at Saint Joseph's University and holds a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Nebraska, which she obtained while working full-time as a hospital pharmacist. Dr. Markvicka received her bachelor's degree in pharmacy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where she held multiple student leadership roles.
