Dr Norman Goldwasser is a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida who has received a forensic evaluation license from the University of Virginia’s Department of Law and Psychiatry. This trauma-focused psychologist has more than three decades of experience in clinical psychology. Dr Norman Goldwasser earned his Bachelor of Science in clinical psychology summa cum laude from Johns Hopkins University. He received his Master of Science in the same field as well as an additional graduate degree in industrial and organizational psychology summa cum laude, both from the Virginia Commonwealth University, from where he also received his Doctorate Degree in clinical psychology, magna cum laude. For over 30 years, he has been focusing on helping patients to cope with the trauma related disorders, such as obsessive compulsive disorders, adult and adolescent ADHD, sex addiction and substance abuse, sexual issues, personality disorders, especially narcissism, and depression. Dr Goldwasser uses the innovative psychotherapeutic treatment methodology, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), designed to relieve continuing psychological distress from trauma. As a highly experienced professional, this psychologist has been invited speaker to many professional national and international events. Over the course of his career, Dr Goldwasser has received a number of awards and recognitions including Guest of Honor Award at the Chai Lifeline Dinner, the Educational Leadership Award from Yeshiva Elementary, Guest of Honor for Congregation Ohr Chaim, Honor Society of the National Conference of Synagogue Youth, and Founders Award at the Collegiate Learning Exchange of the University of Miami. In 2015, he has been named Top Psychologist in Miami Beach by the International Association of Health Care Professionals.
