Dr. Candice Matthews Statewide Vice Chair is an honorary doctorate recipient who has made significant contributions to society. She is affiliated with the Texas Coalition of Black Democrats, a voter protection project, and the Rainbow Push Coalition – an organization founded by Jesse Jackson. Matthews has also been recognized for her philanthropic work in Houston, Texas.
