Jim Feldkamp

Naval Flight Officer
Commencing his career as a Naval Flight Officer, Jim Feldkamp navigated the EA-6B aircraft from the USS Midway during the 1991 operations of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He later transitioned to the Naval Reserves and took on a role as an FBI Special Agent in Norfolk, Virginia. In this capacity, he was a key figure in the establishment of the Joint Counter Terrorism Task Force and participated in specialized aerial surveillance missions. Venturing into politics, he sought the Republican ticket for Oregon's 4th Congressional District in the 2004 and 2006 elections. In 2007, he returned to his naval roots, aiding in the formative stages of what would eventually be termed the NMIO. His duties involved streamlining the exchange of non-classified maritime security information among U.S. agencies and international entities. Nowadays, he serves as a Subject Matter Expert at Georgetown University, where he is developing a course focusing on "Terrorism and Unconventional Threats." He has previously been an adjunct professor at George Mason and George Washington Universities, offering courses on topics related to terrorism. Additionally, his academic accomplishments include authoring and editing a textbook, which was published by Cognella Academic Publishing and explores the "Theory and Politics of Terrorism."
