I graduated from National Tsing Hua University, majoring in Quantitative Finance. During my university days, I served as the Vice President of the AIESEC TSLC and was the Co-Curator of TEDxNTHU. After graduation, I worked in the financial and design industries, taking on roles in business development and project management. I also served as the Taiwan Director for an Australian study abroad company, primarily handling school project liaisons, overseas internship arrangements, and student visa applications.
In December 2019, I was invited by the Kaohsiung Youth Career Development Center of the Ministry of Labor to deliver a speech titled "The Key Skills for Cross-Domain Transition" (banner: reurl.cc/D68o2Q). As I believe programming will become increasingly important in the future and it offers various work styles and approaches, which aligns with my pursuits. So, I began working as a front-end engineer in mid-2021.
My personality is optimistic and extroverted introvert. I enjoy working independently but can also collaborate effectively with colleagues. Within a team, I typically take on roles like communication and coordination, idea generation, and content recording. During work, I approach tasks with a demand-oriented mindset, enabling me to focus on solutions and implementation without getting sidetracked.
Adhering to the Scout Rule mentioned in the first chapter of Clean Code written by Uncle Bob, I happily refactor code when I see place for improvement, making it cleaner and discussing with relevant developers. Additionally, I value testing and CI/CD, recognizing them as methods to maintain development speed and enhance overall stability as system become more and more complex.
I value having stable working hours, but I also hope that my daily tasks offer some level of challenge and opportunities for growth, rather than simply performing fragmented and unchanging duties. For me, being able to learn and apply new technologies is truly fulfilling. In my spare time, I proactively participate in programming-related courses and read relevant books to improve my abilities.
