Autobiography

I have approximately 12 years of work experience in the electronics and design industries, including roles as a Senior Visual Designer at a Japanese design company and as Creative Director at Mizo Games for about  4 years.

As a Senior Visual Designer in the technology industry, I gained experience in packaging design, OEM software UI and UX design, and web design, and learned how to work with programmers and front- and back-end web engineers. I also discovered my strong skills in cross-departmental communication and project management and took on the role of software development PM to assist with communication between engineers and sales.

Later, I wanted to gain more understanding of how to promote and launch products after development, so I changed careers to join a startup board game marketing company as Creative Director. In this role, I established SOPs for product development, introduced file management regulations, and consolidated system data and permissions to make it easier for team members to access information. I also introduced project management, categorizing projects and establishing naming conventions, and consolidating all related project data in one cloud-based system to avoid disorganized naming and make it easier to access remotely. I set up different access levels for confidential company information based on department (e.g. management, production), and established a customer service SOP to improve response times and customer satisfaction.

While consistently producing products, I am also actively promoting our products through crowdfunding. I communicate the strong points and high quality of our products to consumers, increasing their confidence and leading to a high rate of repeat customers. I have also accumulated a large number of loyal fans who eagerly support any new tabletop games or peripherals that we release. In over a dozen crowdfunding projects, I have been responsible for marketing planning, advertising copywriting, graphic design, cross-industry cooperation, and product production. I have worked with my team to brainstorm and come up with marketing strategies that break through the same old ways of thinking and hit the mark with social media. I have created many innovative marketing methods that have not been tried by other industry competitors.

We have created many innovative methods that have not been tried by other industry competitors, such as:

  • Collaborating with 滅火器樂團 to release a theme song "1945" for the historical board game "高雄大空襲," which was included in the band's album and made available on KTV
  • Partnering with well-known illustrator "怪奇事物所" to release the party board game "MAYA," which is filled with historical and cultural knowledge
  • Collaborating with Taiwan PTS to produce the board game "做工的人" based on the drama of the same name
  • Conducting street interviews in 西門町 to ask people about their knowledge of the historical event "台北大空襲," creating a lot of online discussion
  • Releasing the LGBTQ board game "敢愛就來" during the peak of the same-sex marriage issue, actively supporting the cause with our product
  • Working with 陳柏惟 and Taiwanese Hokkien radio host to produce a tri-lingual video for the marketing campaign of the board game "火球島"
  • Developing a new immersive theater experience at the beginning of 2021 and opening a physical storefront, giving online crowdfunding consumers the opportunity to experience our products in person.

As you can see from my resume, my several years of experience in product development, project management, and software and app development and design in the technology industry fully meet the expectations of your company. In addition, I have an additional advantage of having creative marketing and visual design skills. I have experience in company operations, unlimited creativity, and the ability to communicate with designers about aesthetics. I am also able to think about marketing plans during the development stage for future product releases. I believe that this training is beneficial for taking on cross-functional positions that require project management, planning and design, and integration skills.

Hope to have the opportunity for a further interview to show my strengths. Thank you.
