The recipient of an associate's degree in electronics engineering with an emphasis on automated assembly line maintenance from AB Technical College, Vicki Poitinger began her career as a maintenance technician at Continental Teves in Asheville, North Carolina. She worked at this company for 15 years, during which time she held six different positions, including warehouse supervisor, logistics planner, and material specialist. Vicki Poitinger most recently served the company as an SAP instructor responsible for instructing material SAP changes in the US, Germany, Belgium, and the Czech Republic.

While working at Continental Teves, Vicki Poitinger expanded upon her educational credentials by earning a bachelor's degree in business from Montreat College and an MBA in leadership development at Brenau University. She completed relevant coursework such as corporate accounting and business marketing at the latter institution.

Ms. Poitinger presently buys land and manages apartments in North Carolina to improve them and increase their resale value. Beyond her professional pursuits, she has volunteered at Burke Literacy Council and enjoys hobbies such as painting, hiking, gardening, and playing musical instruments.
