Wataru Takada 

AP Math Student

A high-achieving student at the Bronx High School of Science (Bronx Science), Wataru Takada is enrolled in the school's math research program, for which he is working on a post-college-level algebraic geometry project he plans to submit to the Regeneron Science Talent Search. In March 2017, Wataru Takada earned a silver medal at the Greater New York Math Fair for his Properties of an Apollonian Gasket project. 


Since his sophomore year at Bronx Science, Wataru Takada has taken AP and honors math courses, including honors trigonometry, honors pre-calculus, and AP statistics. Outside of his regular curriculum, he has taken an AP calculus exam to qualify for enrollment in additional advanced courses when he becomes a senior in 2017-2018. During the summer of 2016, he participated in New York Math Circle, a selective advanced-learning program for high school students. Wataru Takada has also been appointed an Editor of the Bronx Science Math Bulletin. 


Outside of his academic endeavors, Mr. Takada is an avid follower of soccer. Having played the sport until the end of middle school, he enjoys watching the English Premier League and Serie A. Though he no longer plays soccer, he remains active by participating in New York Road Runners races.
