William Dawson

Experienced New York Leader in Private Equity

William Dawson is a New York City, New York-based private equity executive who has served as CEO at a middle-market private equity firm since 2014. He also serves on the firm's Investment Committee. William Dawson has been with the firm since 2001, before which he was managing director and head of the middle market buyout group at Whitney & Co. in Stamford, Connecticut.

William Dawson previously spent a combined 14 years at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) Securities Corporation as an analyst and managing director at DLJ Merchant Banking. He has served on the boards of multiple public and private companies throughout his career and garnered expertise in leveraged financings, restructurings, recapitalizations, and acquisitions.

Complementing more than 30 years of private equity experience, he holds an MBA in management from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Francis College.
