William Elson

Partner with the Legacy Financial Group

A longtime resident of central Iowa, William Elson grew up on a farm in Bondurant and attended Iowa State University (ISU). While in college, he played active roles in both the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and the Student Alumni Association. Bill earned his bachelor of science in agriculture business from ISU in 1985.

Mr. Elson expanded into the financial services, subsequently earning a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation through the College of Financial Planning. He remains an active CFP Practitioner and a registered representative through Legacy Financial Group.

Mr. Elson has been advising clients on a variety of financial matters as a partner with Des Moines’ Legacy Financial Group since 2016. Dedicated to meeting the highest industry standards of ethical professionalism, he emphasizes client service with a particular focus on meeting specific life goals.

When he isn’t working. Mr. Elson enjoys following Iowa State University athletics, riding motorcycles, camping, and gardening, He is also an animal lover and owner of two German Shepherds.
