William McGoff

Firefighter Committed to Serving Massachusetts

An experienced fireman, William "Bill" McGoff has served his community and country since joining the US Army as a member of the 82nd Division of the Airborne Infantry in 1991. During his military service, William McGoff earned multiple distinctions, including the US Army Achievement Medal and the Commendation Medal.

In 1996, William McGoff enrolled in the electrical training program at the Greater Boston Joint Apprentice Training Center. He apprenticed as a journeyman at Broadway Electric, and, by 2003, had completed the program, which included a 30-hour OSHA safety course. That same year, he began work as a firefighter and emergency medical technician at the Quincy Fire Department in Quincy, Massachusetts. This requires suppressing fires and providing other assistance as a first responder. Additionally, he holds a seat on the executive board of the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts.

In his spare time, Bill McGoff enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors. He also plays guitar in a band.
