In his previous position as Republic Services general manager, Yasser Josue Brenes oversaw a King County business unit that spanned material recovery facilities and commercial, industrial, servicing, and transfer stations. He led significant labor cost reductions through a combination of labor variance analysis, route optimization, and process standardization. At the same time, he implemented a Business Unit Safety Program that addressed personnel injury and workers' compensation liabilities.
Mr. Brenes’ background extends to serving as an intelligence officer with the U.S. Army infantry. From 2006 to 2009, he delivered intelligence information that informed U.S. battalion operations and battlefield missions. Yasser J. Brenes’ efforts contributed to the success of Kosovo deployments, and he took on a role as battle captain on numerous occasions.
