Biography

My name is Liu,Yu-Tang. I received my BS in Undergraduate Program of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from National Tsin Hua University in 2014 and MS in Graduate Institute of Electronics Engineering from National Taiwan University in 2018, respectively. I believe that my background and work experience position me as a strong entry level candidate, and I would express my interest in Software and Hardware Engineers.

Between my BS and MS, I have worked for the Electronic Control Department in GMM. My main work is to design software and circuit diagram of our semiconductor process equipment. We use BCB(C++ based) as our programming language. In this period of time, I get more familiar with the flow of semiconductor process, and programming. Also, I learned how to design a program to control motor. In addition, I always collaborate with Mechanical engineers to discuss the design of our equipment, finding the balance between software design and mechanic structure.

During my master degree in NTU, I joined the FCL, Fast Crypto Lab, led by Professor Chen-Mou Cheng. My main research area is cryptographic hardware and embedded systems (CHES), as well as electronic system-level (ESL) design. My master thesis is "Linux UIO Driver for AXI DMA". In recent years, to simplify the development process on FPGAs, embedded Linux on FPGAs is a good solution. With UIO driver provided in Linux Kernel, we can control our block design on fpgas. But some designs do not fit with UIO Driver, the design with DMA component is one of them. As a result, I decided to modify the UIO Driver so that users can easily control their FPGA design with DMA in Linux.

After graduated, it's my great honor to join Qualcomm as a TW IOT PMIC software customer engineer. In this period, I assist Taiwan's customer to debug any PMIC issue, and help them accomplish many customization design. I think this job really plays a significant role between the company and customers. It also expands my horizons. Now I see things not only in engineering perspective, but also in marketing view. I help bring the company's latest technology to customer, meanwhile, I collect useful information, requirement from market and give feedback to internal team.
