Projects

CF6 engine model conversion change

The customer(Airline) and the commercial team have an agreement in contract to provide customers with a spare engine, then the customer has 12 engines for us to overhaul. The contract value is over 100 million USD.

To match customer's request, I introduced a new procedure into the shop. The procedure is published by OEM but nobody has done it before, and the old procedure is uncompleted, so I did a lot of data collection and spent a lot of time discussing with the design engineer and fleet support engineer, and confirmed the final procedure, then broke down the entire requirement into details and ordered the shop mechanic to follow step by step.

The project matches the schedule on time and prevents the penalty and satisfies customers.

Aircraft engine maintenance workscope preparation auxiliary tool

The workscope preparation is the major responsibility for engineers, to prevent the human factor and reduce the man hours in preparing the workscope documentation. I created the auxiliary tool by using Excel VBA function editor to help teams to generate documents more easily and quickly.

CF6 engine fan module repair procedure introduction

Developing a new procedure to do the repair on FAN module rather than remove the rotating components from the engine, prevented the risk which might happen during disassembly and saved man hours and costs. It also prevents the potential possibility to scrap the life limit parts if-execute the overhaul.
