Zachary Castillo has served the Louisiana Soccer Association in New Orleans as a referee for more than six years. In this position he is tasked not only with officiating multiple leagues for children as well as adults, but reviewing all equipment for safety and compliance. As a referee, Zachary Castillo is also responsible for promoting sportsmanship among both players and fans and communicating with coaches. He has further experience as an environmental health and safety intern with Signal Peak Silica in Monahans, Texas.
Mr. Castillo is currently pursuing a bachelor of science in environmental engineering at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. During his time at the school he has appeared on the Dean’s List and received the LSU Tiger Excellence Award. His extracurricular activities include charitable work with the Lions Club and on campus memberships with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.
Zachary Castillo’s interests outside his studies include playing soccer and basketball and engaging in philanthropic work through his position with the Lions Club.
