Job Description

Analysts are responsible for recruiting and tracking founders, seizing investment opportunities and contributing to the AppWorks Ecosystem. This position will offer first-hand experience making VC investments and advising founders.

You will have the opportunity to:

  1. Track early-stage founders closely as they go through their journeys and build tomorrow’s unicorns
  2. Research into paradigm shifts and form investment theses
  3. Source deals and conduct investment due diligence
  4. Structure deals, participate in investment decision making and closings
  5. Track the progress of our portfolio founders and their companies and help solve problems
  6. Earn US$ 51K – 132K annually based on your performance and an additional US$ 12K in child care assistance per 0-6 years old

Requirements

To excel in this position you will need:

  1. Genuine passion about founders and their stories, technology and making a big impact
  2. A good understanding of who you are and where you are going
  3. High interests in meeting and getting to know
  4. A fair amount of intellectual curiosity and an ability to think critically
  5. The ability to both zoom in see the details and zoom out to paint a big picture
  6. Some experience living/working internationally
  7. Solid written and verbal English & Mandarin skills
  8. Proficiency in financial modeling and with spreadsheets

It would also be nice for you to have:

  1. Have 2+ years of startup experience, either as a founder or a team member
  2. 1-2 years of work experience in a tech company, or an asset management firm, preferably an investment role at a VC, PE, public equity funds, investment bank, or consultancy firm.
  3. Are a native crypto user / trader, or a web3 builder
  4. Love to write essays
  5. Have build a strong online presence
