As a firmware engineer at HPE, you will architect, design, develop, debug, and maintain firmware to provide innovative products and solutions to our customers, evaluate and design industry standards and new technologies, and help define and shape new industry leading products. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in software, firmware, and hardware. The candidate should be interested in low-level code development and be interested in embedded systems. The successful candidate must be team-oriented, be innovative, possess a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, be quality conscious, and have excellent communication and technical skills. The ability to work as part of a team to deliver innovative firmware projects is essential to success in this position.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience and Knowledge

• 5+ year experience in UEFI firmware development
• Programming skills in C and Assembly Language
• Basic firmware, software, and hardware background
• Knowledge of computer architecture
• Knowledge of industry standards including ACPI, SMBIOS, and PCI/PCI-express.
• Experience debugging PC platforms and related tools (e.g. HDT, serial log, etc.).
• Experience with AMD platform handle.
• Develop BIOS features for AMD new platforms designed in house.
