Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including web application, operating systems, automation utilities, and databases. Define and implement server deployment spec and process for OS and server/option FW. Drive product attraction and improve customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Breaks down customer requirements into features and plans whole as an integrated solution.
• Develops features for system deployment software, RESTful API SDK and test toolset from concept to product.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines, milestone and schedule management.
• Executes and writes testing plans, and documentation (i.e. user guide and spec) for software products; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
• Participates as a member of project teams with other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions.
• Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Work with product team to drive product innovation and attraction for customer needed values into features/services.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 7 years or above related work experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience of web frontend and/or backend development and have the ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (Angular/Node or others).
• Knowledge of Python and/or other scripting languages for Windows/Linux.
• Knowledge of source code control and bug tracking tools including Git/iSVN, Bugzilla and/or others.
• Familiar with software/systems testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options with global teams.
  

Optional Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of x86 PC/server OS deployment process is a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux boot environment and kernel development is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and service development is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud service (Azure/AWS) deployment is a plus.
• Knowledge of database design is a plus.
• Knowledge of C/C++ and/or C# is a plus.
• Knowledge of automation testing for web and system software is a plus.
