Job Description

Location: HKSTP-HKU iAXON (科技園公司西區中心)

Position: Postdoctoral fellow/ Research Scientist

Your role: Work with our R&D team to conduct electrochemical and material study of our novel thermal-charging cell. This will include running the relevant knowledge exchange among Hong Kong, Chian and Taiwan with our industrial collaborators. Other opportunities include integration of our DTCCs to electrical appliances and development of testing protocols. Learn about product design, market strategy, how startups work in general, etc.

Timing: Commence on or after Aug. 1, 2020. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

Salary: A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.

Requirements

Education: Applicants should (i) have a Ph.D. degree in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (“STEM”)-related discipline; (ii) be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently.

Experience: Applicants should have a strong interest and experience with material testing is a big plus. All applicants must have strong academic performance in their engineering/ sciences coursework. We also highly value strong creative thinkers. Recent graduates should additionally have an excellent FYP or equivalent level of research quality. Applicants with a strong background in Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage and experience in electrochemical engineering/technologies would be desirable.
