Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working in electronics/computer consumer hardware.
  • Experience with manufacturing/operations in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) management and supply chain management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Experience in the consumer technology market and experience with OEMs, Original Device Manufacturers, and third-party suppliers.
  • Experience working with global and cross-functional internal/external teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, creativity, and strategic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp and product transitions.
  • Drive manufacturing operational readiness in the factory leveraging partner resources as well as ongoing efficiency and improvement across factories.
  • Anticipate production and operational risk, communicate/partner with OEMs to manage bring-ups, qualification, material availability, and quality issues.
  • Lead regular meetings to communicate plans with cross-functional operations and demand planning.
  • Work with OEM partners to ensure performance goals for Quality, Turn Around Time (TAT) are met.
