Backend/Full Stack Developer

Join our team to help build out the necessary components that will drive our web platform and eCommerce integrations for our customers. Your focus will be to help develop the web services that will drive our APIs, databases, serverless functions, as well as contribute to some front-end development as needed. The ideal candidate will work well independently as well as actively contribute ideas and discussions with the team. This will be a very hands-on position and will need to collaborate closely with the team to come up with creative solutions and build them. Our platform is young and there’s plenty of room for a passionate, motivated developers to contribute their ideas and create.

- Help design and implement NoSQL database schemas and models
- Design and develop API endpoints and other services
- Implement functionality in serverless functions
- Develop react components and pages for web application
- Help maintain and debug existing applications
- Assist in making architectural decisions on web and server applications being developed
- Communicate frequently with team members about progress, issues, or ideas

1. Educated to BA degree level preferred but not essential
2. 2+ years experience working in a professional capacity
3. Can work effectively remote/independently, with minimal supervision
4. Good working knowledge of Linux systems, server administration
5. Working knowledge of web server architecture
6. Experience with AWS components, Lambda, DynamoDB, APIGW
7. NoSQL database design, data models
8. JavaScript/ES6, node.js, next.js, express, react
9. Knowledge of Git
10. Experience with eCommerce (eg Shopify) preferred
11. Working experience with graphql is a plus but not required
