Summary:

The Application Consultant is responsible for the project implementation & technical presale support on Applied CIM solutions based on Applied Materials product of MES (300Works, FW, PROMIS ) and CIM automation (Equipment automation or Process Quality Control such as SPC/APC ). A principal activity of this position is to support Semi or Non-Semi (Display/Solar/PCB/SMT/EMS/Battery) presale activities to prepare the proposal and deploy project to meet customer manufacturing requirements. Other responsibilities include the project management or professional consulting service on Applied product to support Taiwan or China service projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Post-sales proposal and implementation support resulting in satisfied customers.
• Organize a meeting concerning all phases of presale project lifecycle (proposal and contract preparation to close the new deal )
• Conduct pre-sales activities & presentations
• Participate in documentation reviews of Applied proposal and contract as appropriate.
• Participate in on-going training of Applied products/solutions to customers for sales and marketing issues.
• Keep up-to-date on new technologies and new products by attending classes, seminars, conferences, and/or presentations.
• Study new industry CIM needs to help to penetrate Applied product/solutions.
• Service Project deployment
• Organize a meeting concerning all phases of service project lifecycle (requirement collection, specification, development and testing, delivery and sign-off).
• Determine solutions for customer requirements through the application of Applied CIM solutions. This includes analyzing and understanding customer manufacturing issues and requirements, understanding the customer environment and documenting its processes and procedures. It also includes determining if the requirements can be catered by the standard product offering.
• Demonstrate Project leadership no matter in project management or technical leader role (solution architect or quality manager or solution leader)

• Flexibility to travel world-wide if necessary. Travel rate is about 20%: Need for domestic travel to support Taiwan business opportunities. Oversea travel % will be less than 20%.

Special Requirements:

• Computer Science or Industry Engineering bachelor degree or MBA with Information system related background is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Semiconductor and Non-Semi (Display/Solar/PCB/SMT/EMS/Battery) manufacturing environment. Over 10 years’ experience is better.
• Presale consultant (50%) for business proposal and customer engagement.
• Service consultant (50%) to support project deployment as the leader role such as PM or SA or QA role.
• CIM S/W experience for new plant CIM solution deployment, especially in MES in new fab or plant manufacturing ramp up and process improvement initiatives would be an advantage. Better to have S/W leader role in the CIM project deployment.
• Knowledge of Applied products is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
