How You Will Contribute To The Team

As a key leader and pillar of the engineering team, you will be bringing your leadership skills, ideas and expertise to drive technology innovation in Custos.

You will be responsible for:

1. Working with the senior management team to determine business goals, impact and timelines
2. Brainstorm smart solutions, and challenge our processes and solutions to ensure they serve a practical purpose by solving real problems
3. Owning the technical roadmap for the engineering team and holding your team accountable for achieving objectives
4. Deliver scalable, stable, and well-documented solutions with redundancy in mind
5. Do things sustainably and consistently, including identifying and working through difficult decisions around scope and realistic delivery
6. Leading, growing and directing our engineering team

About You

1. A passion for customers, data and sustainability
2. Proven ability in creative problem-solving
3. Passionate for software engineering and a deep interest in advancing solutions through technology
4. Ability to tailor your communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
5. Able to manage cross-functional stakeholders and/or partners
6. Native fluency in Mandarin and comfortable communicating with stakeholders in English

Must-Have Skills and/or Experience

1. Working knowledge of cloud-native architectures, particularly Amazon Web Services.
2. Deep understanding of web application architectures and design principles across infrastructure, backend and frontend
3. At least five (5) years of experience as a software engineer using a modern programming language (PHP 7+, Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java, Ruby etc.)
4. At least five (5) years of experience with Relational Database e.g. MySQL, PostgresDB, MSSQL
5. Proven experience in working across the full stack i.e. infrastructure, databases, backend and frontend
6. Experience leading and scaling cross-functional engineering teams
7. Experience with CI/CD technologies e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI etc
8. Working knowledge of mobile technologies e.g. React Native, Swift and/or Kotlin
9. Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) or relevant technical experience

Bonus Skills and/or Experience

1. 5+ years of experience working with public cloud providers e.g. Amazon Web Services, Azure or Google Cloud
2. 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams
3. 2+ years of experience working in the ESG industry
4. Familiarity or Experience in PHP Laravel
5. Experience in mobile development i.e. React Native, Swift and/or Kotlin
6. Experience in React and/or VueJS
7. Familiarity with data engineering and warehousing
8. Familiarity with DevOps concepts e.g. Disaster Recovery, Risk management, Change and Incident Management works.
