Data Analyst (Part-Time / Full-Time)

Summary

DOWN Dating App is looking for a curious, resourceful and motivated Data Analyst to carry out extensive data analysis and research in order to enable data as the forefront of business process and decision.

What will I work on?

• Leveraging data from our systems to build analysis and predictive models to help derive actionable insights for teams including sales, product, customer success, marketing, and support
• Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for our products that serve millions of user.
• Together with Product Manager and CEO, Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decision
• Help teams directly with data to better acquire and retain customers, develop marketing strategies, inform related product decisions. Evaluate, develop, and build automated tracking of KPIs across the business, create in-depth analysis and dashboard
• Evaluate ways to increase the efficiency of internal data flows and integrate data from different sources to create a centralized source of truth with Python, SQL and data tools

Job requirements

What skills are required?

• 2 years of experience in data analysis for part timer / (does not apply to intern candidate)
• Strong quantitative skills and critical thinking skills
• Skilled at querying relational databases (SQL) and visualizing data, with attention to detail
• Self-driven and curious, not only interested in the data but also the “why” behind it, and how to turn it into business outcomes
• Strong communications skills to collaborate cross-functionally and manage projects
• Experience with data science and data analysis tools and libraries
• Experience with amplitude and bigquery is a plus.

The past and future of the team

Founded in 2013 by The Global Growth Expert, Colin Hodge, Down was acquired by Paktor in 2016 after reaching over 5 million users organically, merged companies with 17Live in 2017, and then reacquired by the founders in 2018.
