Senior Full Stack Developer

Hypervine is seeking an experienced and business oriented Full Stack Developer to lead the planning and execution of highly complex on site construction software that involves working with 3rd party developers and customers.

Hypervine is a self funded, customer driven, profitable company that offers exciting challenges within our team.

We provide construction software that allows construction teams to build critical infrastructure better and cleaner - the water that comes out the tap, we help those guys. Construction companies achieve this through using our app and dashboard which captures hard to record data and shows unique data analytics to help construction improve their operations.

Construction is one of the worlds biggest industries, it is also one of the most wasteful, come with us on a journey to help construction reduce costs, improve operations and lower their operating emissions through digital technology.

We are primarily based in the UK and we serve some of the biggest construction companies doing some of the most important infrastructure work in the UK, water, energy - work that's critical to life. As such they expect us to perform to a high standard and help them get the job done. This includes uptime, new features, bug resolution and new innovations.

Your Experience

You will be a natural self starter who has engineering experience combined with a love of solving technical problems.

The role will understand all aspects of the Hypervine system while focusing on improving the performance and responsiveness of the system. You will have worked on a variety of B2B services and enterprise level development.

Your responsibilities, skills and duties will include

• Work with 3rd party developers to delivery feature developments
• Lead 3rd party developers in development of features
• Work with in-house Data Scientists and Analysts
• Technical specification documents and diagrams
• Hands-on: you will be coding mobile and web apps
• Building and delivering data system for data customers, enabling their analyses
• Develop in-house AI data analysis capabilities
• Develop consistent and performant APIs with microservices.
• Manage API resources that work across different cloud platforms
• Hands on experience with Erlang, Elixir and Phoenix Framework or similar
• Hands on experience with Azure
• Create efficient, reusable, reliable and production quality code
• Create prototypes
• Some quality control testing
• Help hire and coach a small team of junior software engineers until we bring on an experienced head of engineering
• Create proper granular executable tasks from high-level requirements to deliver to production frequently.
• Lead the estimation, design and development of key system features.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications.
• Promptly resolve production issues based on priority – with a focus on unblocking the customer.
• Actively demonstrate our values to help establish and grow our development culture.
• Basic understanding of the UK data regulations

Need to know

• Azure - you must have experience and knowledge in implementing Azure services
• Erlang - you have must have some experience with Erlang as you will need to know this

Nice to have skills

• Knowledge of Data Science/ML is a plus
• OCR and Image recognition skills or interests
• NLP skills or interests
• Proficient and working knowledge of English
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Great discipline and excellent communication skills
