Quid is looking for enthusiastic and entrepreneurial software developers who are highly motivated to join our development team.
You will:
• Design and implement large-scale social media cloud enterprise products with minimal supervision.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborating with product managers and UX/UI designers to ensure that the user experience is seamless and intuitive.
• Working with DevOps to deploy and maintain software applications.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure smooth release of software.
• Debugging and troubleshooting issues that arise during development and testing.
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of coding standards.
Requirements
* 5 years’ experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Master's degree a plus.
* Highly competitive Java skills.
* Experience in Java multi-threading, messaging and inter-process-communication.
* Experience in developing distributed systems.
* Experience in Unix/Linux.
* Experience in RESTful API design and usage.
* Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and algorithm skills.
* Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
* Passion for software development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Familiar with agile development methodologies.
* Experience in RDBMS, e.g. MySQL.
* Experience in NoSQL, e.g. Cassandra, HBase, and cloud computing.
* Experience in message queue, e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ.
* Experience in Akka Actor, Akka Stream, Akka HTTP or Akka Cluster.
* Experience in search engine, e.g. Lucene.
* Experience in Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
* Experience in Kubernetes.
* Experience in JVM/Linux performance tuning.
