The Opportunity.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Lead/Senior Golang Engineer to join our team and take our product to the next level. Your primary focus will be on developing Go Packages and programs that are scalable and maintainable. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong understanding of how best to leverage and exploit the language’s unique paradigms, idioms and syntax.

Your day to day

• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain end-to-end solutions to serve the business needs
• Drive team growth by providing mentorship to engineers and cultivating engineering best practices
• Collaborate across different squads and functions to improve system efficiency and capabilities
• Translate software requirements into stable, working, high performance software
• Play a key role in architectural and design decisions, building toward an efficient micro service distributed architecture.
  

Who you are

• 7+ years of experience in implementation & development
• Strong knowledge of Golang, C++ programming language and test-driven development practices
• Experience with data structures and algorithms
• Knowledge of data and messaging formats; such as XML, JSON, CSV
• Experience in building and scaling microservices
• Good understanding of WebSocket and standard API communication protocols; such as REST, XML-SOAP
• Familiar with RMDB, NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB), Caching and Data streaming
• Familiar with Domain-driven design
• Knowledge of ELK stack and Asynchronous Messaging (Kafka)
• Strong knowledge of GitOps; Gitlab flow preferred
• Ability to use version control systems; Bitbucket preferred
• Experience collaborating in a multi-national, distributed and cross-functional team environment
• Strong team player who is open to giving and receiving feedback
• Ability to work independently without instructions on most tasks, but knows when to ask for help
• Comfortable working in an agile environment and have working experience with agile/scrum

Great to have

• Good understanding of different authentication methods; such as OAuth, JWT, TLS
• Experience in APM tool integration; such as Datadog, NewRelic
• Experience working with container orchestration; preferably Kubernetes
• Experience building large-scale distributed platforms
