The Role
We are on a mission to redefine the electric mobility landscape and seek a driven and meticulous Mechanical Design Engineer to join our expanding development team. This role is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a cross-functional team of visionaries in crafting the future of electric mobility.


HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
1.Product Development and Design Collaboration
• Understand and execute on project targets and design criteria from Product Managers and team leaders.
• Engineer with design inspiration from Industrial Designers to create new electric vehicles that shape people's mobile lives.
• Design (3D and 2D) tubing, forgings, castings, stampings, etc., for frames, forks, and bicycle components that meet project requirements while being manufacturable.
• Ideate, prototype, and iterate through new design concepts to confirm they meet fit, form, function, and manufacturability requirements.

2.Manufacturing and Quality Assurance
• Work closely with manufacturing to ensure parts and frames received from suppliers meet expectations.
• Organize frame, fork, and component test samples to ensure all products meet testing requirements.
• Work closely with manufacturing partners to bring new ideas to market while solving impediments.
• Research advanced technology and processes to support new project requirements for both design and manufacturing purposes.

3.Project Management and Technical Oversight
• Take requirements from Product Managers to support the Industrial Design vision.
• Manage all technical issues, test failures, field tests, and component issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and work with manufacturing and quality teams to implement robust solutions.
• Complete all documentation required for the new product introduction (NPI) process and manage the document repository.
• Deliver the right product, at the right quality, at the right time.

4.Travel and Global Collaboration
• Travel domestically and internationally for project execution, collaboration, and team integration.


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in design and manufacturing engineering, focusing on electric mobility or a similar industry.
• Proficiency in 3D/2D CAD (Creo - Pro Engineer), with Class-A surfacing ability.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, forging, tube manipulation, and welding.
• Experience in digital testing (FEA, CDA, etc.) is preferred.
• Knowledge of patents and ability to secure intellectual property for the company.
