What we're looking for

SupraOracles is searching for a professional Analyst that will focus on supporting Supra’s ability to analyze other companies in the blockchain, crypto, NFT, GameFi, Metaverse industries to help in the decision-making process to expand the Supra ecosystem through grants, direct investment, acceleration, and consulting. She/he will work closely with and as an integral part of our small and collaborative team of venture professionals

Responsibilities

• Involvement in all aspects of due diligence on new startups or businesses (business analysis, industry thesis, competitive landscape, business/pricing model, and financial modeling / deal structuring)
• Reading/reviewing business plans and pitch decks
• Assessing market/company attractiveness to help identify compelling businesses
• Working in a strategic capacity with Commerce Ventures’ existing portfolio companies as needed
• Preparing market analyses and presentations to drive investment decisions and for engagement with the firm’s extensive network of corporate relationships
• Participate in and be asked to contribute to weekly internal meetings in which new investments and portfolio companies are discussed

Getting Started with SupraOracles

Here at SupraOracles we like to give you some time to orientate yourself.

We’ll give you lots of time in your first month to do all of these important tasks.

• Get familiar with your team, the business, our vision, mission and our strategies for success.
• Up-skill as necessary to become familiar with the rapidly changing arena of DeFi creators and projects.
• Understand our core values.
• Set up 1-1 with your colleagues.
• Become familiar with the tools and processes we use.
• Analyze our product offerings.
• Jump in and be a part of the conversations!
• Participate to solve minor issues to learn our network's architecture.
• Become familiar with our codebase and future goals of the product.
• Participate in planning and feature development.
• Engineers - Write and review code to ensure that it’s understandable and aligns with the best coding practices set internally.

Are you the right person for this role?

The ideal candidate for us has:

Candidates should have up to 3 years of total prior work experience including at a minimum either of:

• +1 year of full-time work experience at a top-tier investment bank, strategy consulting firm or similar analyst position.
• +1 year in the blockchain industry
• Any work experience that demonstrates the drive, skills and character required to be successful in a demanding, entrepreneurial and dynamic work environment.

Qualified candidates likely also meet the following criteria:

• Self-starter with superior work ethic and uncompromising personal integrity
• Highly analytical with an interest in sifting through, and identifying trends within, large volumes of data
• Basic understanding of financial modeling and accounting
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision (including proactively seeking guidance when needed)
• Passionate about personal development and career mentorship
• Wants to be part of a highly collaborative team, where we all strive to win together
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships
