Position Overview:

 As a SRE, you'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You'll work closely with the development and operations teams to streamline the deployment processes, ensure scalability, and enhance system reliability and security.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform to support our applications and services.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and continuous integration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability in the cloud environment.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for container deployment and scaling.
• Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and timely issue resolution.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance with GCP services for data protection and system security.
• Identify opportunities for improving infrastructure efficiency and cost optimization on GCP.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, etc.
• Strong experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for managing microservices architecture.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK stack, etc.) in cloud environments.
• Understanding of security best practices, networking, and infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
