For seven years Carl Casale led operations at CHS, Inc., in Inner Grove Heights, Minnesota, as president and chief executive officer. In his role at CHS, Inc., Carl Casale's responsibilities included managing virtually all aspects of operations at one of the nation’s premier energy, grains, and foods companies. He oversaw a wide range of services, from grain marketing campaigns to crop nutrient research. Drawing on more than three decades of industry experience, Mr. Casale also helped CHS, Inc., develop into the most comprehensive member-owned cooperative in the United States. Carl Casale studied business at Washington University's Olin Business School in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating with a master of business administration. He received his undergraduate degree in agricultural economics from Oregon State University. Prior to assuming his leadership role at CHS, Inc., Mr. Casale spent over 25 years with Monsanto Corporation. He also has firsthand experience maintaining his family’s blueberry farm in Willamette Valley.
