Born in Lakewood, New Jersey, Chaim Steg received his B.F.A from Georgian Court University, after which he spent some time teaching art to children at elementary level. After some time, Chaim decided to concentrate on developing his unique techniques he acquired over the years and rebirth her professional art career. He paints in various styles including landscapes, multi-media monotypes, botanicals, abstracts and figurative works using both acrylics and oils. His early paintings display light filtering in through darkness, conveying hope as present, striving, and seeking even in the deepest gloom. His art portrays the texture and colors of the vivid world around us. You can easily distinguish his paintings due to my use of vibrant and dynamic colors, and contemporary realism style. By focusing on abstracted figures and landscape features, Chaim strives to illicit active viewership to forge a transcendent relationship between viewer and art work. His paintings are mostly made using acrylics, as its fast drying qualities give him the freedom to mix other mediums more easily. His paintings explore light dancing on the waters surface as well as illuminating the depths. This is another demonstration of hope -- that even in the darkest waters, light, or hope, is always moving but it remains present; filtering and flickering, offering hope.
