- Researcher - Field Trip

During winter holiday 2020, I sent my thoughts about the critical thinking of polar environmental issues to the Harbin Institute of Technology. In this competition, Harbin Institute of Technology chose 60 winners from 30 countries, and I was one of them. I represent Indonesia to come to Harbin, China, to learn and discuss the polar environmental issue. This forum makes me proud because I met many new friends from various countries with different backgrounds, including experts in microplastic, water pollution, hydrogen, biomedical, and many others. Participating in International Arctic School, Winter 2020, is a meaningful experience for me. I not only learned by theory but also determined by doing in the laboratory courses. I developed my communication, problem-solving skill, research skill, and discussion skill. My research team also received an award as an outstanding group presentation of IAS 2020.

I got the chance to study in Taiwan and a scholarship at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. From here, the journey of my new life begins. I have realized one of my dreams to review in an international class. I learned at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology at the Information Technology Application laboratory, majoring in Big Data and Deep Learning. My research topic is Generative Adversarial Network concerning how to generate free facial expression images and do photo manipulation based on pencil sketch images. My research is about Everyone Is a Forensic Artist: Sketch to Photo Transformation for Human Face. This research helps catch criminals based on inputted characteristics of the criminals, like hair color, the use of some attributes, human expression, and many other factors.

Growing up, in 2017, I graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, majoring in Informatics Engineering at the University of Surabaya, Indonesia, with a GPA of 4.00 out of 4.00. Being a child who wants to make my parents proud, I must study hard to maintain my scholarship. Lucky me, I always got the highest GPA in every semester. Therefore, I got an achievement for the best informatics engineering college student in 2017 and gained full scholarship during my study. I choose informatics engineering as my major because technology is developing very rapidly, and in my opinion, the programmer has a good future. As a college student, I also worked as a lecturer assistant and taught courses such as calculus I, algorithms and programming, object-oriented programming, basis data, web programming, web framework programming, computer graphics, and management science. My thesis is about Information System Recap Score through Character Recognition in Image-based on Mobile Phones. This thesis help lecturer to recap student score using their camera handphone. It means the camera handphone can recognize the student ID and the score of each student and save it into the database.
