David Pflieger is a highly seasoned aviation professional with decades of experience in the industry. His tireless efforts in aviation have awarded him great success in his career, and his diligence, aviation knowledge and leadership skills have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community members. David currently serves as the CEO of Ravn Alaska, Alaska's largest airline. As the CEO of Ravn, David is responsible for overseeing all of the company's operations, from higher-end organizational tasks to day-to-day operations. His work at the company is already being felt, as he has managed to improve several operations and processes to improve production and cut costs, something he has become known for in the industry. Prior to Ravn, David Pflieger held a bevy of executive-level positions at a large number of well-known and highly-respected airlines. Most recently, he served as an airline advisor to the World Bank Group, where he assisted in revitalizing and selling an airline to Africa. Before that, David held multiple CEO positions at struggling airlines. With David's leadership abilities, business management skills and deep understanding of aviation, he was able to turn all of these companies around and earn record profits. One of his proudest achievements, is his involvement in the creation of Virgin America, now one of America's largest airlines. As one of the original founding members of the company, David Pflieger played a crucial role in the company's certification process, and was able to secure an official airline license from the US government.
