Deborah Upchurch is a highly motivated police officer and trainer with over 15 years of experience and a specialty in training and public safety. Deborah is constantly improving her skills as can be seen with her multiple degrees and certifications. At the moment she is pursuing a Doctorate of Science at the New Jersey City University. Deborah's duties include training all new police recruits and evaluating officer performance among her other daily responsibilities. She is currently the Police Lieutenant/Instructor at the Orange Police Department and is also acting Communications Specialist. She has been instrumental in training law enforcement and public safety officers as well as creating and modifying departmental policy/procedures to improve efficiency. When law enforcement officers study for exams that are required for promotion they are undoubtedly going to be mentored by Deborah Upchurch. She creates curricula from scratch and customizes each course or learning tool for the recipient. She is a master at planning and policy making in order to increase efficiency and success of her fellow officers and as a department as a whole. Currently Deborah is studying for her Doctorate of Science from the New Jersey City University. She already holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and a MAS in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
