A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) , John Pettey graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Amherst College, in addition to spending a year reading economics and management at Worcester College at Oxford University. John Pettey began his career as an analyst with the Blackstone Group in New York City, followed by several years as an associate with Dallas-based Hicks Muse Tate & Furst. Since 2018, Mr. Pettey has served as executive vice president of Dobbs Equity Partners, LLC, a family office based in Memphis, Tennessee. Additionally, Mr.. Pettey is a member of the board of directors for companies such as Red River Ford in Cabot, Arkansas, and Red River CDJR in Heber Springs, Arkansas. A member of various professional organizations, he is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and belongs to the Memphis CFA Society. In his free time, Mr. Pettey enjoys spending time with his family and participating in Manduu, an electrical muscle stimulation training program.
