Louis Skenderis

A resident of Kensington, Maryland, Louis Skenderis has more than 17 years of experience in federal financial regulations and criminal investigations. Since 2018, Louis Skenderis has served as a special agent for the Office of Inspector General with the United States Department of Education. He performs criminal fraud investigations related to student aid and allegations of employee or contractor misconduct. Previously, Attorney Skenderis assisted with the effective administration of the Bank Secrecy Act as a regulatory interpretation specialist for the Department of the Treasury and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. He also provided general counsel for National Check and Currency, overseeing new client acquisition to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Attorney Skenderis holds a bachelor of science in business from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and a law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law. A former volunteer firefighter and park ranger with the National Park Service, he stays active by biking, backpacking, and visiting national parks.
