Educated in Lagos, Nigeria, Nonye Ikegwuoha holds a both a bachelor of architecture and a bachelor of environmental sciences from the University of Lagos. These two areas of study come together in his enduring interest in indigenous African architecture and its various environmental impacts. Nonye Ikegwuoha is also profoundly interested in the effects of diaspora on ancient African art.
Although he has been working as a successful artist in New York City for the past six years, Nonye Ikegwuoha has maintained active ties to Nigeria.
His other interests include a profound dedication to poetry and literature, photography, drama and the various other forms of creative expression and culture.
