Myotherapy, sometimes referred to as massage therapy, is the practice of manipulating the tissue as well as muscles throughout the body to improve their health and ease pain or lessen their suffering. It's an old-fashioned method of treatment that is comprised of holding, pushing and manipulating joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Myotherapy is a classic form of manual therapy that has been used for hundreds of years. But, it was just recently made available in wellness and medical spas that offer both conventional and alternative therapies. A lot of spas provide alternative treatments other than traditional massage that include reflexology acupuncture and herbal medicine.
