Retired medical practitioner Peter E. Droubay, MD, used his experience as a nutritionist to teach patients the benefits of a proper diet. He served as a physician and a skilled nursing provider for several medical facilities in Davis, California. The Davis Enterprise newspaper’s readers identified Peter E. Droubay, MD, as the second-ranked doctor in Yolo County. Dr. Droubay was a cum laude graduate of the University of Utah before he moved to the University of Minnesota for his MD. He then fulfilled his internship and residency requirements at San Francisco General Hospital and Compton’s Martin Luther King Jr. General Hospital, respectively. Peter E. Droubay took post-graduate studies in public health nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles, after doing a fellowship at UC Davis. After his residency in internal medicine, Dr. Droubay saw urgent care and emergency patients at King General. He then operated a private practice and was on the medical staff of the Cowell Student Health Center at UC Davis. Dr. Droubay later joined Sutter West Medical Group and was also on call at Sutter Davis Hospital. In addition, Dr. Droubay has been a medical director at three nursing facilities and a preceptor for physician assistant students. A published researcher on the topic of dietary fats and angina pectoris, he has been board certified in nutrition, internal medicine, and critical care medicine.
