Based in San Francisco, Rhonda Magee, M.A., J.D., is trained in sociology and serves as a full professor of law at the University of San Francisco and a fellow at the Mind and Life Institute. As a professor, she teaches many courses, including torts, law and policy, contemporary issues in race and law, and effective and sustainable law practices. Additionally, she has been named Dean’s Circle Research Scholar and served as co-director of the Center for Teaching Excellence. In addition to her work teaching law, Rhonda Magee also teaches mindfulness-based stress reduction interventions for lawyers and law students. Ms. Magee became a fellow of the Mand and Life Institute in 2015, and also trained in mindful communication through programs at the University of Massachusetts, and as a facilitator through the Stanford Graduate School of Business Facilitator Training Program. Rhonda Magee holds a BA and MA in sociology from the University of Virginia, where she earned her JD. In her free time she cultivates her own mindfulness practice and enjoys running, dancing, and watercolor painting.
