Games To Help Teach Kids About Sin

Teaching kids about sin can be both an exciting and challenging lesson. Because of the origin and meaning of sin, it is important to understand how to teach children about it in a meaningful way.

A fun lesson is a great way to introduce children to the concept of sin. It can not only be an interactive way to learn about sin, but it can be engaging and informative at the same time. Below are some lessons to consider.

Sin Lesson Using Slime

This activity is very messy, but it also drives home the idea that sin is a serious issue. You can have a volunteer stand in a baby pool and then pour a bucket of slime over their head. We made the slime by making it out of cans of green food coloring and vanilla pudding.

After the activity, talk about how no one wants to hang out with the volunteer. Then, talk about how God can’t hang out with us because we are so disgusted by sin. This is the reason why we need Jesus, who died, so that we can be forgiven.

The “Get Rid Of Sin” Game

Using masking tape, divide the room into two. Then, divide the kids into two groups. Each team will be given 25 paper wads. Instruct them to get as many of these as they can off their sides. Play begins after four to five minutes. The teams must complete the task and count how many they have.

It’s impossible for people to get rid of all their sins on their own. As much as we try to stop doing bad things, we still keep doing them. Our sinful nature is the result of God’s first sin, which was made manifest in the first people.

Dominoes

The students will be divided into shapes by the time they enter the room. They will then be asked to line up the dominoes on the floor. After they have set up the pieces, one of the students will have to tap lightly on the first domino to make it fall. This activity can be repeated several times so that other students can attempt to knock them down.

After the activity, talk to the children about how one of their sins can lead to others. You can also discuss how my sin affects other people. Explain that today, kids will learn about how Adam and Eve were affected by the first sin. You can additionally talk about how God can be affected by sin.
