CEO best practice leadership workshop for 2022

While each leader has unique strengths, our CEO peer group is continually improving their leadership skills, to rise to new challenges.

- Are you managing the present? Or building for the future?

- Do you employ and deploy your staff? Or do you develop your team?

How are you building a Positive Mentality? Are you assigning blame for an economic downturn? Or stepping over obstacles to focus the team’s energy on the mission ahead?

The most effective leaders know that Not every result is going to be optimal. They re-focus on pursuit of excellence, and motivating the team to the next goal.

We’ve all heard the story about the farmer’s donkey who fell down into an old, narrow well. It cried out for hours as the farmer tried to get it out. Finally the farmer gave up, and said the donkey was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway. He began to shovel dirt into the well. The donkey cried even louder. The farmer continued shoveling dirt into the well, and it grew quiet.

Looking down into the well, he was astonished to see that, with each shovelful of dirt, the donkey would shake it off, and take a step up… shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer stood at the edge, holding his shovel, the donkey stepped up, out of the well, and trotted off. (Univ. TX)

The best leaders know that each obstacle can be a stepping stone, that leading with a positive attitude creates a chain reaction of positive attitudes and better results.

Effective leaders choose to control how they feel and what they spend their time doing.

The most effective leaders demonstrate a clear focus on their company’s goal, and purpose. They clearly define the goals and give autonomy to the talent they have hired.

They seek out new ideas, encourage feedback, and enable better communication within departments and management levels.

They show confidence, compassion, and accountability.

Understanding that partnerships and relationships are the building blocks to energizing teams to succeed, the most effective leaders motivate, encourage and inspire their workforce.

When success follows, instead of taking credit, the best leaders Give credit to the team.
