Marketing Principles Project

Context: Marketing Principles is one of the foundation courses for first year students.


Brief: There are 2 main assignments in this course, both require the students to select a brand and conduct a brand analysis. Based on this analysis, they should then give the brand some recommendations to achieve specific goals.


Our idea:

  • For the group assignment, we choose Coca Cola and propose a renovative sustainable packaging as the core USP for the campaign
  • For the individual assignment, I choose Maggi and propose a campaign "Tết ba miền - Nối liền yêu thương" for the brand within the Tet context


Achievements:

  • For the group assignment we attained the score of 32/40 (High Distinction)
  • For the individual assignment I attained the score of 35/40 (High Distinction) - highest among the course


What have I done:

  • Research for the FMCG market and and set objectives for the campaign 
  • Analyse the current 4Ps marketing strategy of the brand and provide insights for better improvements
  • Brainstormed the Big Idea for the campaign and supporting activities for the campaign execution
  • Worked under high pressure with a short timeline
  • English presentation to the classes and lecturer


Lessons learned:

  • Basic conceps of Marketing and their application
  • The importance of brand analysis for further improvements in generating marketing strategy
  • The application of SWOT analysis in Marketing specifically and business/ project management in general
