The products PL10 currently under development at Roca have been showcased at several exhibitions this year, including a previous exhibition at the Roca Madrid Gallery. The main adjustment involves replacing the conventional IR sensors with highly accurate Time of Flight (ToF) sensors. Originally, my role was as an iOS developer, but this opportunity allowed me to get involved in the development of Bluetooth SoC and ToF technology. We tested various grades of ToF, primarily using VL53L0 and L4 sensors. We also gained experience in calibration and developed a calibration black box to ensure the precision of the ToF measurements.


We used a 3D printer to create a suitable case to secure the product, and through BT Command, we enabled the closed circuit board to perform calibration. This eliminates the need for additional wiring processes, resulting in a smoother production line workflow.
