That, and the performances were solid. The movie was more or less a lot of fun and it was nice to see Alfonso Cuaron and Justin Chadwick get some real attention and appreciation. There wasn't a lot of depth but what there was was quite solid. I did like the film, I just don't think it will have the impact it had originally intended to. And it was not until I watched the movie in German that I realized just how much of the best jokes were in that language. I think Spielberg has not yet received the credit he deserves for this movie.
