View Jobs in Dremio Sonar

View jobs is an advanced feature that allows you to track and monitor jobs running on Dremio Sonar.

The list shows each job ID, its type (Accelerator, Downloads, External Tools, Internal, and UI), and its status. You can also search by username or job ID.

Each job is displayed with the date and time it began, an icon that represents one or more job states, a column that shows the SQL query submitted for the job, and other information.

Details on the job include the QueryStatementType, a snapshot of the underlying data source, and the IO wait time and total bytes transferred for cross-cloud queries. This information can help you identify trends in the performance of an equivalent set of queries.

Resource Warnings

The resource_warning field provides additional data points to optimise the performance of a successful GoogleSQL query. It contains the hashes of the query, including a normalized_literals hexadecimal STRING hash that excludes comments, parameter values, and UDFs.

This value can be useful for setting up monitoring for performance trends of an equivalent set of queries, especially if you use the resource_warning table to filter by query results.

Delete or Update Jobs

You can start, stop, enable or disable, refresh, or delete jobs by right-clicking a row in the Job Activity Monitor and selecting an action. You can also open a table in the Job Activity Monitor to view properties or history of a job.

Job Notes

The Job Notes feature opens a dialog box to add, view, and edit notes related to an active job. However, the feature cannot be used to add notes on closed or offline jobs.

Whether you're just starting out or have been in the field for years, you need to be sure you know what it takes to get your foot in the door with a new job. This includes understanding the skills that employers seek in new employees, developing a professional resume and portfolio, and getting experience in your chosen industry.

Skills and Certifications You Need for Design Jobs

Employers typically look for a bachelor's degree in design or a related field when they're hiring for a creative job. This helps ensure you have the necessary skills to work well in your chosen industry, and it also demonstrates that you're serious about your career.

If you're looking for a digital design job, you need to have expertise in web development and digital design tools such as Adobe Illustrated, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Autodesk SketchBook. Some digital design positions also require graphic design experience on social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat.

How to Become a Designer

If you want to pursue a career as a designer, you need to have a passion for art and design. You need to be able to think creatively and see your work in new ways. This means you need to be a good storyteller and communicate your ideas clearly and effectively.

Fortunately, there are plenty of opportunities for people who love to create and have a flair for visuals. You can find digital design jobs in a variety of industries, including gaming, animation, television and video production, marketing, and art and creative professions.

A community for designers by designers

When it comes to designing websites, graphics, apps, and other designs that can change the world for the better, nothing beats being able to get personal feedback from others. This can be done by joining design communities online or at free conferences, bootcamps and challenges.

These communities help you learn and grow professionally by providing personalized advice and guidance from industry experts. They also give you a sense of accountability and motivate you to try new things.

You can find communities for designers in different cities and countries around the world. These include online groups for design professionals, professional design organizations and community events.

There are also design communities that provide training and certification courses for aspiring designers, or design skills assessment services for existing professionals. You can even join their online forums to discuss the latest trends and opportunities for designers.

Some of these communities are great resources for designers and can also be used to network with the local design community, but there are also some red flags to watch out for. One of the common problems I have seen is communities that sell pre-made graphics packs for users to download. These graphics are often not well-thought-out and can stifle the creativity of users, who can find similar graphics for free on the Internet.

Another problem is that some communities are too small to offer meaningful support. It’s important to choose a community that has members with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets, so that you’ll benefit from a wide range of perspectives.
